Vision is Hiring a General Ledger Accountant Near Houston, TX
We would need someone with:
- Mid-to High-Level experience in the general ledger.
- Will create manual journal entries. Routine entries that are set up just need data to be updated.
- Reconcile accounts. Will receive the data and reconcile it in Excel.
- Gather audit support. Take files and add added support that auditors look for.
- Gather, format, and save schedules for audit and month/qtr./year-end closing.
- Experience with Excel – Specifically in taking a data set and able to organize data and create pivot tables and lookups.
- Experience with Adobe PDF – Specifically in being able to insert, extract, combine files, and create PDF portfolios.
- Degreed Accountant or comparable work experience.
- No direct oil and gas experience is necessary since this position is general ledger. But a plus if O&G terms are familiar.
- No experience needed in Ogsys. Most of the work will be outside of the system and training can be supplied as needed.
- Time needed is 1/22-3/31/2024.
- Available to work contract, on site, a 9-5 schedule, until the end of 03/31/2024.
- No overtime or weekend work needed.
- The person should be okay to sit in the file room.
- Support me in cleaning up accounts for year-end.
- Support me in gathering audit information from outside departments.
- Support me in revenue and year-end entries, reconciliation, and schedules.
- Aid in file room organization.
